| The Marshall Islands is soon to be cockroach heaven, following an RMI Environmental Protection Authority ban on household sprays and roach motels. This has angered at least one local business that received a B grade on its restaurant rating from the RMI EPA but the same EPA that dropped its grade down from A wont let it use US-approved products to get rid of the bugs. RMI EPA has ordered Mortein, Raid, roach motels and shampoos for head lice to be taken off the shelves of local stores because the EPA said that any products that contain certain chemicals that are on an RMI EPA hazard list can no longer be sold in the RMI. RMI Attorney General Posesi Bloomfield told the Journal on Tuesday that he was not consulted on the product ban by EPA, which has been enforced over the last several weeks. EPA acting director Ted Tarkwon said the list of chemicals that RMI EPA is working to ban in the RMI was taken from the United States EPA. | ||||||||||||||||||||

| Despite repeated statements by Presidents Kessai Note and Chen Shui-bian about shared ideals of democracy and freedom at Fridays Taiwan Pacific Allies Summit, top-level RMI government officials ordered national police to remove protest signs posted around Majuro for Taiwan President Chens arrival last Friday.National police brought prisoners to the sign locations, breaking them in half and taking them away from the road shortly before President Chens motorcade drove by on its way from the airport to the Marshall Islands Resort. RMI officials told the Journal that a police captain in President Notes security detail phoned the national police dispatcher Friday morning and gave the order to remove the signs. The signs Taiwan welcome but not in our internal affairs went up Friday across the street from Kejjo Biens store by the Delap Dock, at the curve at Rubar weto, and across from the Riwut gas station. | ||||||||||||||||||||
